Any owners of WBBB 1.1 SL?

I currently have a WBBB 1.7DL, and am thinking about getting a 1.1SL for ultralight backpacking. Wondering if anyone has one that can speak to any major drawbacks to the single layer (yes I am less than 200lbs). I have a yeti UQ, so I don't need placement for a pad. Thoughts?

If you like the support of a DL 1.7 hammock a 1.1 will not give you that same support it will feel like laying in pudding.
Some like it some hate it.

Yes, that is a jump from 1.7oz to 1.1 oz and from DL to SL I have a DL LiteOwl at 1.1 oz and a Snipe (SL) at 1.5 oz. The snipe is more "spongy" - that's not bad, just a different feeling - more giving. I sleep well in both. With that, I think you will feel more difference going from DL to SL than you will 1.7 oz to 1.1 oz. I would guess the further distance you are from 200 lbs, the more the DL/SL will come into play rather than 1.7oz/1.1oz.

I'd use a 1.1 oz as a "day hammock" to take on hikes and such. But if I were going to use it heavily - over night sleeping and such. I'd consider a 1.1 DL. That gives you a little more flexibility. If you are somewhere where there aren't trees (happens above the tree line), you can put your pad in the sleeve and string the bug net up on poles to use as a bivi bag.

I am well under 200 pounds, and like my 1.1 single, but I still get a better night's sleep in my 1.1 double. I use the single when weight and the need for bug protection are important, but use the 1.1 double most other times.

I have a 1.1 SL I got this past spring and have been very happy with it.
This is the only hammock I've used, but I wouldn't describe it as uncomfortably stretchy...
I weigh about 140 for reference.

I have six different hammocks but always select my WBBB 1.1 single when I go out on any over night trips (which is often). I have changed out the suspension for amsteel whoopies and even have amsteel tree straps (inside climbing web tubbing around the tree). Hammock and suspension is right at 16 oz. With a 9 oz cuben tarp the shelter/sleep system is around 1.5 lb. That's why I always take it. I use an Exped inflatable down mat or Therm-a-rest NeoAir Xtherm for bottom insulation so sag / calf pressure or biting bugs are not an issue. My weight is 155 lb.

If I'm using a UQ though I shouldn't have an issue with the bugs though if my thinking is correct

Treat the hammock with permethrin and you wont have a bug problem, period.
