I just made a big order too.
    7 yards of 72" Black 1.9
4 yards of pink 62" ripstop

(Daughter wants a pink hammock, but the pink is too narrow. So I offered; "How about pink in the middle and black on the sides and bottom?"

    Her reply: Cool!
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

I'm making up a list of stuff I need to get fabric for, and then I'm gonna place a big order with her too.

Rug, 62" seems plenty wide for any normal hammock. Sure 72" is crazy wide and luxurious, but 62" is as wide as probably 90% of the hammocks out there are.

That's hilarious. I pretty much made that exact some order a couple weeks ago except I got 8 yards of the black. Gf wanted a pink hammock too. lol

when these bigger tarps are made what works best to seal the seams? more so on the tie outs is there something that enhances strength or is it not needed?

New maker here. Aren't these fabrics coated? They're all listed as WR or WP.

    Do they breathe?

hppyfngy some are coated some arent.
WR = Water Repellent - This is a natural property of nylon and it would breath
WP = Water Proof - This has a coating and wont breath.

Has anybody used the fabric from this site with down? I see they have some down proof fabrics but i am looking not at the white ripstop or the regular nylon fabric but some of the other calendared ripstop.

The site is a little confusing. I interpret WR as meaning the fabric has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, or treatment (breathable). WP is polyurethane coated (not breathable). Not all nylon is water repellent, btw.
