I think its ripstop nylon.

I believe 1.27 nylon. Can't remember where I read that, but I did look that up once a few months ago.
For a 9 ft by 4.5 ft hammock the difference between 1.27 and 1.5 oz ripstop is about 1 oz on the total weight of the hammock.
1.5 is available but I've never found 1.27 oz
