i don't like the new trangias...i got some FAILURE stories on the civilian trangia....four new ones in a row.........got a number of old swedish army trangia/Svea burners that don't have any problems.

    mini trangia

i bought mine online from an aussie site for 30 bucks, to save on shipping but they are available for around 20 elsewhere - click on distributors tab:

...and no quality issues, maybe w/ the knock-offs? dunno...

Here is where I bought my Trangia stove.Clikstand

I haven't had any problems with mine. Looking at how they are made, it seems it would be hard to mess up. I also have the S-2 pot stand and it is a great piece of gear.

not to be unfair to trangia.....could have been a bad run of brass...or crimping procedure problems....but one even came from the sweden factory for a replacement....and it was bad too.....but four out of four...not a good track record

Less than $20 shipped (no stand)

    $26 w/ 3-piece AL stand.

(I have the Cup-style stand... too bulky...)

I've used my trangia for years and years. Not a single issue ever. Great stove. I can't imagine how it would fail, unless it was not made well to start with. Mine's the "westwind" model with the 3 piece base. I've tried several other stoves and keep coming back to the classic. It's hard to beat.

Mt Rogers outfitters carries them. I've seen them in the store. they also carry all sorts of replacement parts (bases, orings, etc)
