I just made oneof these for myself. It seems like its going to work perfectly. I forgot the wingnut and might go back to pick one up. Total cost was under $3. It could maybe use some improvement, but for now I enjoy the simplicity of it. The 1/2" P-clamp fits fine on my komperdell.

I am amazed with the creative spirit of the members of Hammock Forums.

Your StickPic creations are fantastic! Very creative and ingenious.

I should know. I'm the inventor of the original StickPic. Since day one, I have always encouraged people to make their own StickPics and even offered my help when needed.

Keep the ideas coming and never quit.

    I'm flattered,

    Kudos...

...to specialk for his use of readily available items in his project. Really great job! I made one recently like this.stativ10.jpg Got the idea from this site. http://www.andersj.se/ You must first translate to english and then go to news tab and scroll down. He make some really amazing DIY gear. I think a L shaped bracket like that added to a "StickPic" or one of your wire clamp devices would work very well.

Well played Rodjava. I love my original StickPic #3. And hope you can make a new model with a detachable camera mount/foot someday too.

Last week, while walking up the Vernal Falls trail at Yosemite, i was stopped by at least a dozen curious hikers (from all over the world) interested in how my camera mounted on my hiking pole. May have helped sell bout a dozen for you. Really neat watching a great-big smile form on the face of a Japanese tourist when i pointed out your product name engraved right on the mount. He then said, "Kewl!" with a Japanese accent. Made me smile !
