Talking Video: Hammock Camping in Pedernales Falls State Park in Texas

I went to Pedernales Falls in Johnson City Texas for an overnight hang. It's a really nice park with some great views. It's a bit harder to find a good hammock hanging site. Most trees do not grow straight in this area because of the rock and limestone. But, with some effort, you can find a site and sleep well.

Nice job BB5, I love Pedernales, I've camped there several times, but never hung. I must remedy that soon.

You have a great video presence, and I like the information you added to it as well. Science does have a place in a youtube camping video as far as I'm concerned. Keep em coming, I enjoy watchin em.

    Thumbs up

Now sir that was worth the upload to watch it over here. Great place and I enjoyed the geology ... feel free to include it as far as I'm concerned. Looks like you had the place to yourself ... that's nice too.

Thanks for sharing the trip with us and the video!

Great job, but I'm still a little concerned about being able to find that trail if I go one day.

I think I could probably ferret out that trail but the crossing at Mescal Creek looked a little dicey.

Good video! I need to start looking at Texas hikes. Living in Texarkana, I always head to Arkansas.
