Great report. I was there last week, however, the hammock had to stay in the basement of the RV. It was just a quick stop over. Thanks for the inf.
Question: I went on the ranch tour of the King Ranch. They talked about some of the artesian wells that they drilled. That was some vey flat land. Do you know where the pressure head for them come from?

Another great trip report, BF5! Thanks once again for taking us along! I spent some time in Texas, but all of my hiking was in the North Fort at Ft. Hood! LOL!

    Enjoyed it once again -

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I've camped in parts of Texas but have never seen anything like that area. Although you didn't mention it, I'm sure that you ate well on your trip. Now that I almost exclusively make my trail food from your recipes, I eat well too!

excellent video BF5! Me and a buddy are doing the LSHT, probably the last week of April into May. We would have like to have gone out by now, but then he decided to get a job doing Taxes and well.....April 17 (Tax Day) is a month off now (we will Orienteer Tyler State Park 4/21, or we'd leave then). We plan on taking both our trucks, cacheing water and he suggested just moving the trucks every other day. I was thinking just once, but with the late/dry weather, we will move trucks and have H2O in them.
I need to get out Nocona's trail guide on LSHT and try and figure FS road crossings to cache water at.
We hope to do the entire trail, West to East.

Great looking place, love the pools scattered across the falls particularly. Glad you were able to get at least one night out in the Junipery woods.
