Best Underquilt for Hennessy EXPLORER DELUXE A-SYM ZIP

I have tried various options for keeping warm in the spring without much luck so I am considering an underquilt. I have just started reviewing the threads here. Lots of information. So far I am aware of JackRBetter, LeighLo, and KAQ underquilts.

I am trying to keep my backside warm in the 20's - 40's temp range. I have a Hennessy Explorer Deluxe hammock, modified with a zipper top entry.

Please give me some advice as to the best option for warmth, fit with my hammock, and small stuffed size. Thanks.

Have you considered Hammock Gear 3 Season or winter Phoenix or Incubator. Are you looking for a partial or full length UQ. I know your using an HH but it fits my WBBB just beautifully. And as for temp range. The other option is getting a winter quilt and simply venting it in warmer weather. And for what its worth IMHO im a fan of the partial UQ. I usually have a pad with me any ways. And when it really comes down to it all the quilts are quality its a bit matter of preference.
    YMMV

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I think I want a full length. My feet get cold too, even with fleece socks because the heels get compressed. I don't understand the appeal of the partial length underquilts besides the obvious (smaller).

I will check out those other brands. Thanks.

The HammockGear Incubator full length UQ looks good. But they don't offer many details on their website such as how it attaches to the hammock and whether the side tie-outs can be used with the UP attached.

The KAQ products don't appear warm enough for me and I would prefer down.

The LeighLo full length looks like a possibility but I could not find any photos of the full length model.

I should mention that I need it to work with the mosquito netting in place.

I have used products by both Jacksrbetter & Stormcrow on my HH. Both offer superb quality and warmth.
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

Is Stormcrow the same as Hammock Gear?

Yes. Like others have said, you really can't go wrong with any of the vendors on this site. Hammock Gear is one of the most popular and there's a reason for it.

many UL hikers chose this because we use frameless packs, so using a short lower-leg-length ccf pad results in a pack frame, and a leg warmer. no need at this point, to add full length/weight/bulk of a quilt. shortie quilts are mostly used by frameless pack folk.
(plus, i could not get the full length quilt i purchased long ago to even fit well on any of my hammocks, with much experimentation. shortie quilt solved the problem)
