We just had a group hang in January just outside of Ellensburg. There was talk of doing another one this summer but nothing has been proposed or organized yet. Feel free to suggest a time and place and see who can make it. I am willing to try to make it to any hang within a few hours of Seattle.

    For sure

I would be willing to make something work. I was told about the Jan hang too, but summer seems too far away. I would say that one hang per season would be great, that way most people would be able to make 2/4 hangs a year.
You don't sleep on the ground at home, why would you expect me to out here?

I like MaxM's idea. Once a season sounds like a good way to go. After the Winter hang, I'd like to get back out there with a couple people again. It was a fun time.

In the meantime, TyGuy, where in Western WA are you? If we don't get a group hang together soon enough, I am sure a couple people would be willing to just do a meet up and show off some gear. I'm in Bellingham, and there are a couple people in the Seattle area. Let us know, or send some PMs and see if anyone would just like to meet up.

I like this idea also. Sounds like a Spring Hang!

    Hi Tyguy,
I am stealth17 living in Redmond, WA and I am looking to find some guys who would like to hang in WA almost anywhere. I am a senior but in pretty good shape and an Army Vet with about 4 years of Hanging experience always in the summer, fall and spring. I am in the process of building a pulk for winter hanging which I am really excited about using in low altitude areas where I can enjoy the beautiful snowfalls. I have a Warbonnet BB XLC and a Superfly that I totally love. All my quilts are down and super warm. I use a ULA Catalyst pack which I explored after seeing the products Shug uses. My first hammock was a Mosquito with a diamond tarp which I still have and will use to get others to try hanging. I would like to talk with you on the phone if possible to talk about trip ideas etc. You may reach me any day usually in the mornings at 425 241-8008. I you know others in the area who are great guys please let them know I am looking for other people to hike with year around. I look forward to your response.

Hey, I'd be interested. I'm an intermediate hanger — someone who could help new folks with the basics but who also could learn from the veterans. Located in Bellevue.
