    Batona Trail Hike

    Batona Trail of South NJ. Some others have expressed interest in hiking this so im posting.
    on 3/11-3/13 i will be hiking from Bass River to Ong's Hat, 50 miles. Buttonwood camp the first nite and Batona camp the second.

    Pets are welcome for thru hikers only. this is a test run by the Wharton State Forest.

    Hey Karl,
    I would love to know how this works out. I have a group of Scouts looking tho do their 50 miler and this sounds perfect.

    I might be able to get away for a night, no hiking though as time is a little tight. I might join you at the Batona camp. Is that the same place we camped for the NJ Winter Hang?

    same place and I AM leaving on the 11th which will put me at Batona on the nite of the 12 th.

    one week till start.
    for all you local hangers Hawkins Bridge, !/2 Godfrey and Goshen will be closed this season to restore vegetation. some sites will be opened at Brenden Burn (maybe) for the season as It was closed last year.
