    Tarp Guy Lines

OK, I'm about to venture forth into my first backpacking season as a hammock camper. But I need new guy lines for my tarp(s). The ones I used for my tarptent won't do. Now, as I've read over the months on this site, there seem to be various types of lines to use as guy lines. I may try to use prussics on mine.

What do you prefer and why?

I explained my guy line setup here. One hand adjustment (even in gloves). Shock-absorbers for my tarp. They work for me.

    I also use Shane's setup.

Wish I had been doing so from day one.

+17 on ^shane^'s setup. Way simple and it just plain works. I also saw another nice setup at the NJ Winter hand described in this thread.
Perrito, I'm in NJ and head up to your neck of the woods a lot for work, PM if you have any questions (not that I'm implying you'll have questions and I'm by no means an expert but sometimes two heads are better than one).

I had my BMJ set up this last Sunday in 20mph sustained/40mph gusts. The guys worked exactly as I'd hoped. No movement in the sustained wind but a bit of give in the gusts.
