Precisely! Tho I prolly wear a little less than you mention in the mid 20s ... if with a 20* bag.
FYI -- sometimes while carrying a pack uphill, +5* is T shirt weather.

Boy!...do I understand your last comment!! I really heat up/sweat when packin'. Because of that, I've yet to wear my my cold weather clothing during the day when hoofin' down the trail. As for sleep clothes...I don't carry a bag for temps in the 20's and above. My cold weather clothes, which I've yet to wear on the trail, do dual use as my sleep system. But I'm firmly convinced that my success with that is because of my home range and its climate (warm-hot days, cool-cold nights)...I'm not sure it'd work, with the weight savings I get, in other more humid areas.
