Is WP outer layer on a two layer hammock ok?

I'm about to order some fabric. I've found 1.6 coated waterproof. and 1.1 uncoated. I want to make a double layer. I only weigh a buck fifty so I'm assuming the 1.1 will hold me fine.

My question is would it be ok to make the first layer breathable 1.1 with the outer layer waterproof 1.6?

I've heard that the hammock should breathe.

    Words of wisdom greatly appreciated

P.S and addvice on zippers and where to look?

If you plan to use a pad in between the layers it probably doesn't matter because the pad is a vapor barrier anyways. Some people swear by vapor barriers, others swear at them.
