so the undercover is basically a 1/2 of a sock?

OutandBack -- I was waiting to see pics of this. OUTSTANDING!
Besides additional protection in winter - I'm thinking this could this possibly work in summer months for extra mosquito protection/slight warmth when a UQ is not needed? and still having the breathability..
I love it - where do I sign up?
possibly one in woodland camo?
oh and Shug - the cutting wind topic is the other thread :P

silnylon = condensation is the only thing that's stopped me from getting one.
i think the breathable nylon dwr provides enough splash protection to warrant the windblocking warmth boost.
i hope to see these become available. would go nicely with the 2qzq ridgeline organizer i scored at mt. rogers

Looks the goods
Any idea of a packed weight ???
From what I've been reading, perhaps 2QZQ would find a marker for a hammock sock as well (1.1 oz DWR in woodland sounds like one good option...)
Slept in the hammock last night. Did not use the BBO top cover and had the netting completely unzipped and folded to the side.
Went out ~11PM frost was present on the ground and both sides of the tarp. None on the hammock. Checked hammock layers twice on 2 potty breaks all was dry. Woke up 9AM had coffee from the hammock and came inside.
Low for the evening was +15F winds were light all evening, by 9am all frost on the tarp had evaporated. All in all it was a perfect evening to hang. Had no cold spots was very comfortable.
