Welcome to HF. Sounds like you have some great gear to get you started. Enjoy!
I'm a noob from West-by-God as well. I suppose I should my intro thread as well. I live down in the south central part of the state. Good people here, lots of info. Welcome!
I mean POST my own intro--oops!
I used to get up to Caanan Valley and Blackwater Falls SPs pretty regularly when I was mountain biking, but now I have slacked off of my riding and have not been up your way for a spell. I do hope to do a Sods trip this year though.

Thank you all for the great welcome. The more I read here, the more I can see this is a great group of people that just get along.
@Joe Cross. Just let me know, if you decide in the fall, what a treat with the fall colors. A great hike would be to start in Thomas & hike back the old fire road to Olsen Tower, an old fire watch tower. On the way you will pass an unbelievable overlook of the Blackwater Canyon. There is also a few trails that sprout off and a few camping areas. Another great thing about the fall is trout stalking time. Some great fishing up Camp 70 road. Another great hiking trail is the Plantation. This would be a great two day trip with a couple camp shelters. Golfing, biking, so so much.
@Jsaults, if you want some company on the sods trip, let me know. I have not been up to Dolly Sods in awhile. I would also like to hit Spruce sometime also.
Whoooo Buddy thanks for some great entertaining vids Shug. Very informative emmmhmmm.
@gunner76, can't beat the small towns, unless your trying to do something without everyone in the town knowing about it.
Glad to see some fellow Mountianeers here, even if your a Go Herd person. Maybe I'll get a chance to go to a hang this year. Thanks again all.
Mike
