    ENO Single w/ out ridgeline

I have an ENO single and tried to put a ridgeline on it. Didn't much care for it. I liked the lay better w/out the ridgeline. How many DO NOT use a ridgeline on your hammock, ENO single or other. Maybe I didn't have it on right. I tied a piece of amsteel to ends of the hammock and started with about 108", slowly reduced the ridgeline until it felt the best, but still wasn't as good as w/out. Any thoughts?

I only use the ridgeline that came with my BB. I do not use one with my other hammocks. Have too lazy to try to see if it makes a difference as I am happy with the way my ENO and Grand Trunk hang.

While I like the lie of my GT UL without a ridgeline, I am putting one on to hang all my personal crap.

You could just use a piece of rope to the trees above the hammock. Not a true ridgeline, but an equipment line.

I guess everyone else is using a ridgeline?

I stopped using a ridgeline on my ENO hammocks because I found I could eyeball the hang pretty well. I never hung anything from it either. It may sound silly but I also like a nice view looking up.

I have and DN, I ran a rige line for a bit, but it just became extra place to hang dodads off of, thus I ended up carrying more things then I needed. My hammock is always up, either in my livingroom or in the woods, and I have spent enought time in to know how much slack i need, so IMO a ridgeline gets in the way more then it helps

That was the other thing I had forgot about, seemed to be in the way.

I find they get in the way as well. If I need one I'll run it between the trees I'm hung from but I don't like having them on the ends of the hammock, too close to my headspace.
