I've been doing a little north woods winter camping and was wondering if there are any other Cheese Head Hangers out there.

Rosholt, in central WI, retired teacher, adventure seeker, canoe/kayak,motorcyclist, poor flyfisherman.
Work too much, have 2 young kids (who love to get out and camp). Just back into backpacking this year (up to pic rocks this summer). Whitewater Kayaker, canoe camper pretty much love the sports that don't involve a motor.
I'm contemplating a WBBB 1.0 DL. Being up off of the ground sounds like such a wonderful thing. That said, I'm kind of waiting for spring to get out again. Probably spend a few nights in the N. Kettles as a test run.
After seeing those pictures of hammock gatherings I think someone should put together something in N. WI! that looks like a blast.
Gotta love getting away and unplugging!
More of a Meat-Head here but a Whooooo Buddy Welcome to ya'.
A few of us have hung in Wisconsin a few times
Shug
Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
Nice to know there are some hangers on this side of WI. My son and I get up to High Cliff at least once a month from May-September. I am going to try to plan a hike on the Lower Kettle Ice Age trail this summer with my wife, sure hope the bug nets can keep out the squitoes!
I'm heading up to Boulder Junction WI for a 5 day trip next week but when I get back maybe I'll start planning a north woods trip for HF. One of the best reasons for owning a Hammock in WI is that so much of the north woods are so thick or the ground so tangled with roots especially in the swampy areas that a tent just can't always cut it.
I'd be interested in a winter snowshoe, pulk hang to improve winter camping skills, bs by the fire. Some northern lake campground. Two nights.
I'm actually heading back up to the woods for some of that plus a little ice fishing this weekend. I bought a HH hex fly from someone on HF and want to try it out.
Cheese.......ummmm good.
Paddler. Usually BWCA. Mostly a groundling since most of my camping is with my wife.
I'm more of a "recreational hanger".
Perhaps I will start flying solo more once work/life settles down.
