If this trip will happen I will come by car and I can leave home June 1th in the afternoon. I will drive as long as possible, sleep some and be at the border to Rogens early morning June 2nd. I´ll have to go back June 7th.

That means I can hike for 5 FULL days (2-6th June).

    Could that be possible?

I would really like at least 5 full days hiking in that area, actually even more but I realize that it isn´t so easy for everyone to get days off.

If so, Moski needs to change the hiking-plan.....

    I have a couple of DIY-woodstoves.....
Fire is a very funny thing, like it!
But I´m trying to learn to use gasstoves!

This is my first attempt, made of an old coffee tin can (is that the right word?):

Sweet...... I like the "caveman tv"(and the heat it gives!) very much to, and have gathered a substantially amount of cans but havent really got around to make any yet
Still looking into the bushcooker lt1(and my kiwi stove)

what is there to learn about gas stoves? You turn on the gas and hit the piezo igniter and away we go..... But that **** hiss.....

(And yes that is the right word)

Not so much to learn, as you say.
The learning is more of buying....

I´ve bought a GSI Halulite Minimalist and I intend to buy a small gasburner that will fit inside the Minimalist together with a small canister.

Fire is more fun but in really wet weather a gasstove is nicer.

Fire is at least a lot cheaper....

That will be a neat setup(i love the compactness of the minimalist pot) but why not a kiwi stove and the Esbit holder? cheaper and the fuel is readily available.... just my .02 cents

On the other hand, a gas setup will be fast and clean

    Decisions..... decisions......

Hmm... i think we are guilty of thread drift.... oooops

or one of each? esbit and alcohol/spirit stoves are small and light..
what is the saying..."two is one and one is none"
(when talking about equipment failures and having a backup plan...)

adding in both wood and gas might be overkill, or it might be the evenings entertainment!
