    Some things to think about:

    • A light PFD (personal flotation device) (Life jacket)
    • A light foldable paddle (Maybe rent able as well ?)
    • A floor (i use my CCF pad i use for my legs)

    BTW, my insurance company just got back to me and said !

    Hej !

    Hi !

    We have received your request on your home insurance replaces damage to the rented canoe.
    The answer is no! Home insurance does not cover loss of motor vehicles, boats (including canoes), etc., when the property is not covered by insurance.
    See paragraph A5 of the insurance conditions for homes and villa.

    Do you have additional questions, feel free to call me.

    So, i quess it might be a good idea to check what a short term insurance would cost .

    I have asked my Insurance Company (Folksam), i will let you know when i hear from them.

    Some things to think about 2 :

    • A light PFD (personal flotation device) (Life jacket)
    • A light foldable paddle (Maybe rent able as well ?)
    • A floor (i use my CCF pad i use for my legs)
    • A knife on the PFD (to cut yourself loose)
    • A whistle on the PFD
    • A Repair kit for the Alpacka
    • Some good gloves in wetness (this was a weak point for me last time)
    • Waterproof pants might be nice
    • Crocs really surprised me last time, maybe won "best gear price" last trip

    Lightbulb Was it something like this ?

    If you want to see better, click on it!
    And you will get a bigger popup !

    @Peter
    How did you load those huge pics at the SKAHOw tripreport ?

    I was lazy and stole stuff from my last planning.
    I will clean it up a bit later on.

    Something like this:

    • Day 1 = Parking --> Vindskydd 4 ca 4 hours
    • Day 2 = Vindskydd 4 --> Rastplats 3 (i actually think further)
    • Day 3 = Rastplats 3 --> Vindskydd 3
    • Day 4 = Vindskydd 3 --> Parking

    Day 2 paddling can be hairy, depending on wind and direction .
    I got mucho respect for the weather on that lake the last time

    I will look into the Day distances later on.
    They might be a bit short ?
    I am pretty sure we can go 3km/h.

    But i think it is better with short paddling and some time for fishing, lying, eating

    I am not sure i like the green hiking bit from kärringsjön down to vindskydd 3 ?
    But on the other hand, i had my best paddling between Parking --> Vindskydd 4 !

    BTW peter, no fires aloud, except by the Windshelters .

    Ps, shout if you want me to drop this kmz file in Dropbox !
    Need all emails to share.
    Peter = OK

    Seems like a nice trip!
    That will do for me.
    If it blows much when we´re supposed to paddle Rogens we can walk the trail instead.

    The big pictures?
    In picasa my pictures are 1200x? and that´s the size they bacome in HF.
    No secrets, that´s just the way they become.

    I will use gas on that trip so I don´t need a fire to cook my meal.
    But a small one, pliiiiiiiiiis?
    Just for burning something?
