Hello from Central Massachusetts

Santa was good to me this year and finally got me the Speer Hammock that I've been asking for. Yay, Santa!

I'm looking forward to swaying between the trees while my friends grumble and groan between the roots and rocks. I spend most of my weekends up in the White Mountains and I'm planning on hammocking up a storm this summer. I'd love to be able to expand my hammocking into the cooler and cold months but due to the price of insulation (oh, Peapod, you will be mine one day) I think that will have to wait.

I'm looking forward to maybe attending a hang somewhere in New England this year. Wish me luck!

Welcome raindog. I used to live in NH and would head through Worcester on 290. Great areas up there for hanging. Best of luck with your Speer!

Welcome raindog. Lots of good info here and good people to share hanging experiences. If you haven't done so yet, check out Shug's videos for noobs and Grizzly Adams' videos on suspensions--a lot of good info there to bring you up to speed right away. As a noob myself, I really appreciate the efforts they and many others have put into educating us noobies...
