Anyone else want to add their vote to which weekend? I still like the idea of the northen people organizing one up north somewhere. It would be fun to compair notes and pics online.

I plan on attending the pa.ruck end of jan. i will be hanging there and will report out when i get back. i'm sure it will be cold, like maybe even single digets. anybody remember temps last year at the ruck at pine furnace? shakey leggs are you going?

If I do the Hammock forum hang then I might not do the PARUCK.

This is going to be way more fun that the PARUCK. What could be more fun than spending the weekend on Mt Rogers in late January in all its snow and glory in your hammock.
(I haven't been to any RUCK yet. I like get togethers, but I like hiking better)

my understanding of a ruck is to help the new thur-hikers out. I know that it has been mentioned that folks starting out this yr bring their pack and all to the SoRuck. Seems there will be some tucking going on
