First Thread Injector project

OES, Brandon and the other guys are safe for a while.

I just finished my first thread injector project. Made a double ended stuff sack for one of my hammocks in a camo pattern material that I picked up at WallyWorld. The stitching is crooked and the the bag is not square but its done

. A real learning experience.

Now I have to put it to the real word test and put a hammock in the sack and then think of another project.

Not bad I just got my thread injector did a small pouch but have to get better scissors may get a cutting wheel and board if they work with cotton . Made a cover for my pulk sled and Im pretty happy with results next hammock ridge line organizer. I am hooked. Good luck

"it's supposed to be that way" Makes stuffing it easier. Besides, if you did it perfectly, nobody'd believe you made it.

Nice job, and DIY'ing gear isn't addictive... I can stop at anytime I want... yeah... I just don't want to...

And if you FIX her torn clothing, that means more practice sewing (gasp! I said SEWING!) and more money for ripstop.... not a bad deal... Besides, you'll get brownie points with her girlfriends so when you do something wrong, THEY'LL all forgive you and convince your wife....

(at least that's my plan)

Those of you getting started, if you're going to be working mostly with nylon (silnylon, F111, Cordura, packcloth, etc.), you'll want to get a long steel straight edge, a hotknife, and a cutting platform suitable for the hotknife. It'll really speed up your work on prototypes and such...

If there's a parachute rigger in your area, you might see if he/she would be willing to show you some techniques also...or pick up the Poynter manual. That will give you a lot of great techniques that will work well for building hammocks and accessories.
