    New Clark owner(and forum member)

Recently picked up an almost new, new to me NX250. After months and months of research I finally pulled the trigger. Not having money to buy and experiment with different hammocks I had to get it right the first time. And that is exactly how I feel. The NX250 is exactly what I wanted. I have only done one test hang and was fast a sleep quite quickly. Thanks to the info found on this and Clarks site I thought set up was fast and easy. The stock suspension was super simple to tie with the drip rings and the straps. Not sure why I would need to change it. The only thing I will add to make set up easier is some figure 9's to use with the tarp. All in all I am extremely happy with the 250 and am even more happy that I will never have to sleep on the ground again!!! Thanks again to all of you that have posted info on here to help guide a newbie in the right direction.

You made a good choice, and did as I . . . lots of research

Because I also had to get it right the first time.
I love the drip rings and will likely never change them out.

You will find the versitiliy of the net and weather sheild,
awesomely perfect . . . if that is a word.

Can't wait to see photos of your hangs and trip reports as well . . .

Welcome to HF and teh Fraternity of CJH Hangers

I have a 250 as well, and am quite pleased with it. I bought mine for weather other than summer (still have a Hennessey for that) and love teh attached weathershield feature.

But being the type who cannot leave well enough alone, I replaced teh stock ropes. Didn't like the feel, appearance, or ease of adjuistability. Tried whoopie slings but settled on SHE cinch buckles and straps w/carabiners. Love the setup.

Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully get a chance to hang it up again soon. I would have posted pics of the virgin hang but it was midnight, 30 degrees and I had to work in the morning. Thanks again and did I mention that I am really happy that I will never have to sleep on the ground again

Since we're talking NX-250's maybe I can do a small hijack if nobody minds

How is the lay different than the Black Bird I bought and am experimenting with. I did a lot of research also and decided the 250 was for me but it was expensive to buy just to play around with and resale value isn't like the BB.

I'm super comfy everywhere except the lower legs.
