I have not been able to get myself out in the woods as yet. I am planning for a short one nighter at a nearby waterfall area this coming new year's eve holiday. I can imagine that my morning can be very cold (I am almost always shivering under my sleeping bag when I camped in tent)...
Will take your advice to bring along something (has not decided yet on what to bring along).
Yep, he's right. It is normal to feel cold at those temperatures if you don't have a pad or some kind of insulation beneath you. If you have a tendency to be cold when you sleep, I would suggest at least a lite top cover as well.
We want you to have a good experience![]()
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Welcome to the forum and hanging. I have some very fond memories from my visit to Kuala Lumpur back in 1966. I was there on R&R from Vietnam. I remember everyone being very friendly and the country being very beautiful. It was a very exotic and mysterious place as seen through the eyes of a twenty year old. I would love to return now and explore much more in depth.

Farizs, I love your wood stove! Since you sit on the ground sometimes, consider a 5-in-1 Jerry Chair, which can be a ground cloth, hiking stick chair, gear hammock or pack cover, and is an excellent lightweight under quilt.
Shug, we met a fellow while we were laying at the crowded Georgetown, Bermuda, waterfront. He was the ice sculptor from one of the cruise ships. We had current NBA playoff news, which he couldn't get! I'd love to ask you about that experience... we heard that you can travel all over the ship via crew-only companionways, without seeing any passengers!
