    Haven't used a toggle in a long time, but when I did I used a cheap aluminum stake from Wally World, cut to about 2.75" with a tether hole in one end. One $0.99 stake makes two toggles.



    Also used fiberglass driveway marker poles, carbon fiber arrows which I didn't trust. I've used DWG Ti toggles too. The Ti toggle now stays in my food bag attached to the bear bag line.
    Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....
