What he said! I'm with JJ. I have both versions of the Explorer (Ultra and DLX) and they are a perfect fit for me.

Do you have the zipper or velcro entrances? I'm going to do a search on it but was wondering if anyone had a preference.

I haven't actually had a chance to sit in a Hammock yet, so I'm assuming the uncomfortableness comes from not being able to extend your legs fully?

Oxford, you say the 8'' of width is what helps, is this because you sleep diagonally in a hammock?

edit: just a "for the record", I usually don't use a pad when in a tent so I'm not huge on comfort to begin with. A little bit of discomfort is presumably still probably better then the ground.

It definitely aids in the diagonal, as well as the ability to lay flat, as opposed to having your shoulders "cupped" or pinched.
