    good info. Thanks

Yes...nice price. I was just shopping for a vest for my hubby. Ended up getting one for about the same price at land's end. The one I got was not "Goose" down. But it was down. 600 fill. Both look like a day use, non backpacking vest. TOO heavy.

There is a promotional code that gives me 40% off highest item, and if you spend $75, you get free shipping.

So it came out to like $14-$15. Bought other items too.

Promo code SAVE40 pin is 9019

Thanks for the heads up though. Good timing on your part

I have that one, it's pretty nice. Would sorta prefer a zipper but it's ok.

I'm getting a little better at gram weeniness, but I've never felt the weight of my down vest was much of an issue.

I've got the one from Cabelas (ordered it a loooong time ago) and I've been happy with the weight and all. It's great in that it's not so nice a piece of gear that you feel you have to be overly careful with it. I haven't felt the weight to be an issue and it works very well warmth-wise. I stick it in a stuff sack as a pillow at night, so it's multi-function for me. Just a mini-review fwiw.

I just bought the lightweight compressible down jacket (not vest) about 5 minutes ago after I saw the OP link. I couldn't believe they had my size 3x-4x and was on sale from 79 to 29!

It's supposed to be 3 season but of the 70 reviews, most people said they wore it year round from 20* up. All I ever need!

Thanks for the link! I can't wait to get it.
