Rock on. That thing is awesome!

Do they make camo trash compactor bags? That would be cool.

Very nice job Dutch. I guess the teddy bear doubles as your pillow? And the toilet paper doubles as...?

You'll have to take some video of your setup from pack to hammock. That would be cool too.

It doesn't have a pad pocket. I don't see a need for a pad pocket in a bridge. The long skinny section is thicker material because I was afraid of poking a hole in the pack and then having the hole rip when it is a hammock. Originally I was trying to make a bridge that was so narrow it could be a gearskin. If anyone wants to buy a slightly used very uncomfortable "Thong Bridge hammock" I have one for sale cheap.

That thing is only 12.5" accross in the middle. Although it is very uncomfortable, almost painful, it did make me feel sexy wearing it and believe me you wear it. Then I saw the JRB BMBH and thought about their 3 piece design. Actually when I drew a picture of it for you WBG is when I really thought about incorperating it into my Idea. First the 3 pieces are hemmed at 1 7/8th inch. Than it is rolled back and hemmed 2 more times. That leave about 5/8 flap that all the straps, mesh pocket, and loops get sewn to.

I'm not doing any articles, but if anyone really wanted to attempt it I would give better detailed pictures and give dimensions. It would be a very long article and I want to start on my next project. Besides it is made with my size and hiking style in mind and if someone remade it for themselves they would find more inovations and figure out things I didn't think of.

Thank you for the nice compliments. That is part of why I made it. Just to show it off to all my friends on here. I couldn't wait post my pictures.

    Dutch,

This is awesome! Just as you described it at the October hangout.

I wish I had the talent (and attention span) to do something like that!

Couldn't you un-sexy your thong hammock (good one ) by cutting it down the middle and adding a rectangular section?
