Put me down as a tentative. It'll depend on family stuff around the holidays, etc.

If I can, I'll be there. It'd be nice to meet some other local hangers. Only trouble might be getting over the Steven's Pass; it can be tricky that time of year.

I haven't been posting much lately, but try to read through the forums frequently. I'll have to be more social.

I understand the family commitment thing. Thanks for your tentative commitment. This will be my wife's firs winter camping experience. I was hoping to make it a somewhat social affair.

I'm pretty new on this forum, and am quite anxious to meet folks who enjoy the outdoor life, and are willing to to freeze their butts off for fun.

It varies from year to year. It's pretty dry in that canyon. It really does look like the high desert. Temps at night will likely be around freezing at night. We've been having a fairly warm winter so far. Sometimes it snows, but it's rare. I will be keeping every one appraised as time goes on.

I will be posting a video of the hike and area proposed for the hang in a week or two. It's really quite a beautiful place, and opportunities for day hikes abound.

I would love to attend. I just need to get a ride from someone or from Tacoma/Seattle or have someone pick me up and drop me off at Amtrak/Greyhound station. You don't want the legally blind guy driving, trust me

I can come and get and bring you back, if no one else is coming from your direction.
