Thanks for all the congrats
hangnout - I think the material is waterproof...I tested a spot under the kitchen faucet and it repelled water... when I take it camping in the rain... I will post results
Lonely Raven - It is kinda heavy... but I don't have the weights or anything to compare it to... take pics of your setup when it is ready
also the bugnet is heavy... but I can convert it to a large bug-free room...so to speak
good looking set up you got there! I'm curious about the bug net. Where did you purchase, can you provide link? Was it cheaper than buying something like the ENO guardian bug net? I desperatley need one and am looking to do it on the cheap!
thanks,
Tbull
Tbull55 - I got it at a local army surplus store... $18... make sure to check for holes before you buy...
I "think" this is the same thing I got...good luck

I like the bugnet for its versatility...I made my hammock setup to be modular... this takes longer to set-up, but making camp is part of the fun. Or I can just leave the bugnet on
I feel stange giving advice before I have completed my gear assembly. Not to mention I have not been in the woods yet. I am making the snakeskins for my tarp out of bug netting. I think most of them are made that way for allowing moisture to escape a wet tarp. I guess it is for less weight also. Hope my advice is correct.
Nice gear by the way . . .
If you want cheap... then DIY tulle sock would be my suggestion
river rat - thanks... thats what I was planning on doing... just needed reassurance
bug net, or Tulle, or chiffon- any light "airy" fabric will suffice; just be sure it is a synthetic fabric- nylon, polyester, etc. for water resistance and long life!
KM(fabric shopaholic..)
actually, this applies to bugnet or 'storage tubes'
