I really love my DIY tarp I call BlackCrow.
14 ozs with lines, snakeskins and stuff sack.
    Black .... stealthy.
11 foot ridgeline so it covers well.
Minimal sides for view of woods.
    Can close off ends.
Never been wet under it. Could happen ....but that goes for all tarps in wild weather. Gives me a thrill.

Yes, you're probably thinking of the MacCat tarp that 2QZQ modified to have permanent doors and their "Pole Pocket" mod. I have one being modified as we speak!

Tarps are great way to keep you and your gear dry, Once your tent and gear get wet your trip is going to be miserable.along with that it have good design and flexibility

    1. Keep me dry, I live on hawaii, if it fails to keep me dry, then it's not technically a "tarp" no matter what the manufacturer says.

    2. Something that's durable and doesn't get a hole in it after I string it up once. Or that I have to buy a new one every eight months because the old one wore out. Which is my currently complaint with tarps. They're obviously not made for year-round jungle living.

Big enough that 3-4 people can sit indian style underneath when pitched wide, to get out of rain storms.

Big enough that you can pitch it with the sides to the ground, close the doors, sleep 2 people and feel like you're inside of something not entirely unlike a tent.

make it weigh less then a pound with all guidelines/tie-outs
