First night - Best Nights' sleep

    Wow!
Got my Blackbird double layer hammock last week. Slept in it two nights in a row now. Most I can say is wow! what a difference overnighting in a hammock really is for me. Like this is something new here in the forums...
I just turned 50 yrs young, and thought my sleeping outdoors days were numbered as I get allot more aches and pains from sleeping on the ground. Not any longer.
Unbelievable the difference sleeping in the hammock has been for me. Took 10 minutes tops to string up the hammock, place my CCF Blue pad between the layers, and I'm ready.
I'd come close to saying its the best nights sleep I've had in many many years. Might have to look into Wall Hooks to bring it inside & replace the bed. Not sure how well that will go over with the little-woman-of-the-house…

might depend on if it makes the snoring better or worse...
KM(who has a very mild snorer, but never steady- too variable to sleep thru easily...)

What a great report! Not that unusual, though... that's what I thought until I tried a hammock at age 52. (But I switched the digits two years ago, so I am now 47.)

I worked for an old shellback on a tugboat who, when told that he was snoring, always said, "Couldn't have been me. I heard it too!"

Yay!!! Glad to hear this, Islander! How cool. Take a pic and post it, eh? I'd love to see your setup (unless you did already and I missed it).

Here you go. Secret Hammock Testing grounds. No trees close enough to setup the hammock, so this works too. Until I get a few nights getting to know the hammock. Then off to the woods, [Swamp]

Islander, looking at that pic, all I can say is "I hate you".
If it weren't for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstoppable.

Naww, No hating, maybe a bit envious of warmer climates. I too get envious of all the others "Up" there in the cooler climates hanging in the deep woods.
    My time is coming.

My UQ for now is a Walmart blue CCF, Brrrr... getting DOWN to 60 tonight!

    Funny funny!
Now I'm singing the theme song.... Gilligan's Island

..just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started from this tropic port aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailing man, The skipper brave & sure..."

    Pathetic I know the words.
