    Gilligan's Island theme

Pathetic that we all know the words...

    ...A Classic

And I believe the Gilligan's group were all hammock hangers too!

Where's the snow? Where's the rain and gale-force winds? What is that bright thing in the sky? Down to 60? And all that water to kayak on? Wow..... I want to go there!

    Heh heh heh...
So, my first thought reading these last posts was, "I wonder what type of hammock each of Gilligan's crew would use?"

    My take----
    Gilligan: basic gathered end
    Skipper: basic bridge
    Professor: Hennessey
    Mary Ann: Trek Light Double
Thurston and Lovey Howell: bridges with concealing walls
Ginger: WBBB with integrated bug netting

What do you think they would choose?

I'll be at Ft Myers beach all next week. Maybe I should drop by for a closer inspection.

Believe it or not, there is one spot here in FL with a class 3 rapids. Of course it's not river rock, it's jagged limestone. That will open up an aluminum canoe like a can of Vienna sausages!

And you don't have to paddle to this location. The campsite on the Florida Trail is only 20 yards from where I was standing taking these pics.

    As did we all.

You know, as a kid I used to have this dream where Ginger and Mary Ann would have these knock-down drag-out fights to see who could have me, but then Mrs. Howell would swoop in and stomp both of them into oblivion, fling me over her shoulder, and carry me off into the jungle. Wait, did I say dream? I meant nightmare--I was 5.

Hmmmm, may have said too much
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

Sure it was a nightmare. Uh-huh. Right. And the older, richer woman prevailed. (tongue in cheek) Quite telling. (chuckle)

Ya know? Come to think of it, I think Mary Ann may be more of a Clark girl.
