how wide is it? 60" wide is 1.66 yd2 per linear yd so 1.66X10. ends up at 1.9oz. So probably a 70D fabric.

so i made an error when calculating it. I used a very poor scale when measuring the weight of the fabric. I will see if i can find a better scale. But it seems as this may be 1.9 oz and not need to be a double layer.
Edit: after further investigation this may be 1.5 oz ripstop. or the DWR may have added the 4 oz a yrd to the 1.1 oz fabric. I really need a good scale to know for sure

If it's the same ripstop I've been getting at local WW it's 1.9 oz... I looked last night and they were all sold out... RATS!!!! I need to build another hammock for the GF and a new one for me to boot....
I constructed a double layer to be on the safe side. I really like the way it turned out. Just need to finish my SPE and ill be all set.
