I slept outside last night in my backyard, and didn’t want to put up a tarp as it was a little windy but no chance of rain. I was a little worried about condensation and/or possible frost (needlessly, as it turned out – 50* last night,) so I wanted to throw something over the top of my BMB. The first thing I had on hand was my ATTH, so I stretched it out over the top of the BMB, clipping one end of the tarp to the BMB support ring, and the other to my tree hugger. It worked great! I was toasty warm, with ventilation right over my head. I could have cinched the ends down for more protection/less ventilation if I wanted by leaving by hammock suspension threaded through the ends of the ATTH, which you can see in the pictures. The ATTH hung low enough to cover the sides of the BMB and then some, and was heavy enough on its own that it didn’t flap in the breeze like a lighter cover might have.
I will be testing this on a not-so-windy and colder night, just to see if there is unbearable condensation created by the PU coated ATTH fabric, but as a quick weather cover that needs no mod to fit, I would have to say IMO that this was a winner for a quick, easy fix.
