    I use 4 of those in my setup. Good bit of kit I've been very impressed with them.

    Whats the lightest utility (non weight bearing) biner out there, tho?

    Yep, .99 cent ones work fine. And I weigh a lot more than Canoebie.

    Just a quick question, kind of related to this. I'm want to try using extensions from Amsteel. Will the Amsteel hold a marlin spike hitch>

    A little late reply to your question but...

    Short answer... yes.

    But with everything, there are things to watch out for/to consider.

    Look up ProfessorHammock's Youtube channel (HF's very own GrizzlyAdams) and check out the A Brief Primer on Hammock Suspension Part II : Cord.

    That should explain a lot of what you were asking about. There are also other videos there that would demonstrate other suspension methods.

    Camp nano 23 biners weigh like an oz and are rated to TWENTY ONE KILONEWTONS OF JERKFORCE. close to two TONS. They are what i use without worry
