Suspension question

This might be a newbie question... I was wondering what suspension system i should use. I bought a skeeter beeter pro and wanted to upgrade the suspension so i ordered some Amsteel blue. It came in the mail today so i was wanting to try some different methods to attach it to my hammock. I tried out the gathered end method and was wondering if that is the best method? Or could i get away with tying a bowline and feeding it through the channel in my hammock? Or would the stitching be too weak? Does anyone have any insight on this? If so give me some advice.

The channel will hold. I like to go through the channel multiple times. What I do is make a dead eye (a static loop) with a locked brummel at one end of the amsteel. I pass that though the channel once and then again and pass after the second time, I run the line through that dead eye loop. This gives me the surface area of three pieces of rope rather than one (one being extra thick from the bury as well) to spread the stress across. I don't have a picture at the moment, and I realize that probably makes no sense without a picture.

On the hammocks I'm about to make, I will be using the gathered end method that Knotty described in his tutorial.
