    Sleep standing or hang

    Hello good folks,

Great forum all around, one can see the smiles shine through the printed word. Pleased to meet you.

After spending many hours scouring the posts of this thoughtful and inventive group, I have to believe that a huge component of outdoorsmen would convert to hanging if not for ignorance. [Not fashionable to hang people for ignorance, you know…] I for one had no previous idea of a hammocks potential as an outdoor sleep system.

Long story short, I can no longer sleep on the ground [no love loss there] without resorting to extreme support aids and pray that hanging will allow me to continue satisfying my lust for natures embrace. I am going to purchase kit with good resale value since all my eggs are necessarily in one questionable basket. Thanks to HF for making this path navigable.

I have been enjoying my research here and hope to be fit enough to join you in the woods by mid/ late winter. "Nut bearing trees," has taken on a completely new meaning since peeking over the fence here.

    Safe wandering to you all,

    Chris

P.S. For obvious reasons I wish to find 15 opportunities to post, preferably something that is more than clutter. I have scant useful input to offer and have found all my questions well answered within existing threads. Would anyone like to discuss, why lengthy exploration of tether-to-earth mechanisms while hanging from a skinny string, might indicate a need for therapy?

Most likely, it is about posting something in the For Sale sub. That requires a minimum of 15 posts.

The bold would only be concidered by a NON-HAMMOCKER

Funny thing . . . some of those that do not hang have removed the ham . . .

    . . . and are just a mocker
