I'm preparing plans for an under quilt, and was wondering about the average weight of an under quilt...
Thanks!

I have larger 3/4 size with 10oz of down. It is 20oz with stuff sack and suspension.
Almost done with mine 70X47 tapered to 15 in on the ends. Its ready for down. Shell with suspension is 9 oz going to use 6 oz of down. total will be 16 oz with stuff sack.
Awesome- I definitely can make something near those ranges. Thanks guys!
P.S. Any mods browsing through this can close/lock it. I won't mind.

My DIY 2/3 Length 3 season UQ is 11oz ...it has 4oz of down in it
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
My DIY UQ is 51" long by 38" wide and 1.25" thick. It has 3.1 oz of 900 FP down.
With suspension, in the stuff sack, it weighs 10.6 oz.
May want to refer to this chart that a fellow member had worked up, gives a lot of info in one place. Not sure how up to date it is... there is a thread here somewhere, the chart was on my bookmarks
