    Another rookie looking for knowledge.

Hello... I found this site when I recently started looking for a hammock to take in to the backcountry. I had no idea that this much information was available. I will be asking a lot of stupid questions and trying to give back to the group as much as I take but that wont be for a while.
My first stupid question is: Is there a group in the Salt Lake City area?

Thanks for the info you have already shared and didn't know it...

Welcome to the site Mic. Don't be too hard on yourself as everyone was new at hammock hanging at one point in time. Also remember the old proverb "The only stupid question is the one that is not asked."

    Cheers

Looks like I will have to try and get things together to travel a little bit. Thanks for the info. I'll look for the threads. (add that to all of the other threads I have been reading, wow what a headache...)

Welcome MuseJr, getting to be more and more of us this side of the country. The Id hang is starting tomorrow in the Sawtooths. Not much notice at all, but your more than welcome to join if you can. And because we are so far spread out from most of the folks in the country we will be starting next years plans soon. Lots to learn but getting toghther with other folks is a great way to start and pick up some experience. I hope some of the UT members put together a hang, there are quite a few now and I would be excited to come down for it. Lots of great hiking your way, only done a little in the Moab area but would love to see more of the mountains.

Paul, I go back to work tomorrow. I guess I joined this party a little late. I will make sure I get things in order for next years.
