    Thanks

Thanks for the reminder. I have now a 14 mm (about 0,55") good quality pad from Fjällräven. If Brandon is correct, it should be good enough for singe digits in F and so it would be usually enough. But with Winter yeti it should fill all my needs. Cutting pad material mini cell or similar to fill full double layer area in BB would mean that the Yeti would not work correctly, so smaller is better in this case I think.

If I was not sick I could test those, there is -29 C outside about (-20 F).

I plan to order a full size sheet of the minicell foam and cut to fit my BB.

I bought that CCF pad in both 1/8 and 3/8 from that supplier, looks like good stuff. I only ordered 1 yard of each (36" X 60"). I had planned to use that alone on some summer trips, or with my UQ when colder.
I wonder what the best shape is to cut it? I don't have my BB here yet to check, but wouldn't at least one end need a taper to fit? Does the footbox require some type of asym cut?

I am not sure. I haven't received my BB either. Suppose to ship today but no email confirmation on the shipping. Poor Brandon, he must be slammed this time of year.

As for cutting the CCF. I would think you need padding in the foot box and under the majority of your body while laying asym in the hammock. So darts to keep the CCF from bunching up might be needed as well.

I noticed when trying out a piece of foam for a foot pad in my HH Exped, it appears that the pad will fit much better with a 45 deg angle trimmed in the foam near the bug net zipper. Sounds like each hammock may need pads cut just for them.
