The "hammock friendly" spots on the spreadsheet for pt reyes national seashore are inaccurate. I updated it. We went off the spreadsheet, got to camp and there were zero trees to be seen. Also created a new thread with pictures at pt reyes showing the good and impossible hammock camp sites

In response to my question of whether hammocks are allowed in Massachusetts State Campgrounds (MA Division of Conservation and Recreation), I received the following information on July 27th..... They have been getting more requests for hammock camping as time goes on. Hammock camping is allowed at DCR campgrounds – where there are trees of course. That leaves out Salisbury, Horseneck and Scusset Beach State Reservations, possibly one or two others. *If you have any further questions for DCR about camping with hammocks, feel free to contact Anita Wysocki, DCR’s Campground Coordinator at 617-626-1470.
Well as I didn't see any listed for Texas in the spreadsheet, I checked their site and found no references.. I called Texas Parks & Wildlife and was told there should not be any issue hammock camping that you might want to call ahead and when booking a site to make mention of it so you can have a site that meets your request. As a test I called Inks Lake State Park and was told the same, just let us know when your booking your site and we will place you in one that has trees.
Anybody been to wilderness cove near saluda nc??
I am new to the forum and just found this list. I think it is great. It would be even better with more sites added to it. Maybe people don't know how or if they can add to it. I already see one campsite that I want to go to. It is good to know which sites have trees for hammocks that someone has actually tried. I say keep it on and get more people to add to it.
I'm amazed the sheet is still online, but there it is!
Added two more locations, Sulak in MI and Pharaoh in IL. I have a few more locations on my personal list that look promising, but I won't add them until I've visited and verified firsthand.
It does look like it has a few issues. Things like colume G has no heading, and there are a few rows that seem to have been headings at one time.
I don't know if there's an easy way to sort that out as I'm not much of a doc user.
