Yea, after our first hike together, him in shorts & me in a kilt, He Chaffed, I didn't*, he made the switch. Also after this, as he calls me "Old Man" kicked his Tush hiking, mostly cause he had a 70 Lb pack & I was totin less than 20, He saw the lite so to speak.
*Then again, I can walk unaffected through miles of stinging Nettles & one plant causes him AGONY! His words: "I hate you!" Especially when I stop in the middle of a large patch to take a break.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
