    2 Up

2 up in motorcycle talk is two people riding on one bike. is there such thing as 2 up in a hammock? i've been reading a few days one here and i've found threads of double hammocks but nothing of sleeping 2up. i've got an ultra light $20 hammock in the mail jut to see if i can do it myself. my wife loves to camp but she also love to sleep with me

I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.

That was a great link, but that still doesn't allow the cuddling I think would be desired. Does anyone have one of these yet that could weigh in on that?

I know that there are some guys on here that could help with some pointers on this area.

I burn too hot to sleep in a hammock with anyone. I get pissy if a cat sleeps on me, and I have four of them to fend off!

Good like. Been thinking about it off and on and can't come up with a win win idea. Now we just find 2 really close trees. I like to sleep close, but I get a better nights sleep solo in the hammock.

She steals the blankets in the bed..why would I sleep in a hammock with her??

It can be done. Lots of threads on double hammocks.

For me, individual hammocks make more sense. Gravity will push you both to the center.

A few here have successfully done it but most find it uncomfortable.

Probably not something you want to try in a $20 hammock either.

I've been 2up with the ex-gf in an ENO double nest (I think it has a 400# rating), but it was the middle of winter and *I* didn't think it was very comfortable, she refused to sleep "alone" though. Notice I said ex-gf
