Whatever name you come up with - make sure you register it (I use GoDaddy.com , use whatever you like so long as it is registered in YOUR name under YOUR account) and make sure you do this before you let people know what you're gonna call it

The use of hyphens is more SEO-friendly from my experience but that is a cool-beans name in my opinion (and it ends in two SEO words to boot!)

    how about stormcrow-hammock-gear.com?

The bad thing about dashes is that people don't remember them. If the domain is WonderMonkey-Cheap-Gear.com people will type in WonderMonkeyCheapGear.com when they are trying to remember. Also if you TELL someone the domain and they try to remember it they won't remember the dashes. Probably.

I see a contest on the horizon...maybe not for a company name since the party in question is currently a member here at HF.

LOL Dutch! I didn't realize this was Kick a Ginger week!
Trust me it is easier for me to take the high road now...almost 24hours later than it was for the first half of this VERY long day. I have pages and pages of replies ranging from sad to comical to downright childish...I went with as civilized as I could muster. I think i did pretty good considering I am in fact a true blooded Ginger with most of the stereotypes included.....plus it is kick a Ginger week so that is not helping..

That got an audible chuckle out of me. Thanks pedro. I passed that phase a little while back....when I was not able to beat on anything since it was 3am and sleeping kids were close....

I decided to do the next best thing and I just closed my eyes and went back to a beautiful morning on Hawks Bill.....It was quite effective!

I think you are right. We are looking at a few right now. It is down right amazing how many names get bought up by these domain brokers....sheesh.

Thanks Xex. and MUCHO thanks for the pms. Lesson learned regarding domain registration....it was a little more involved than just not registering it but I dont want to make myself look too dumb on a public forum....

One thing I have found with Stormcrow is that it is not always easy to remember. When I was doing some long sections of the AT I had to tell people again and again what my name was...I am hoping to keep it simple. We will see though....
