Unhappy How do you sleep on your right side in a HH?

Okay, I keep trying nearly every weekend, but I just can't get comfortable on my right side in an HH expedition. No matter what I do or where in the hammock I lay, it's not good.

Please let me know if this is not possible so that I can give up. If you can do it, please let me know how. I'm dying to do it.

I sometimes bring one foot up to my other knee, creating a "4" with my legs. I then twist toward the bent knee, which is usually my left knee because of the way the WBBB is set up. I then bring my right arm behind my head and use an article of clothing as a pillow. This isn't sleeping on my side, but instead with a twist. It is however, the closest I've been able to come to side-sleeping.

    Nice Youtube Channel...

I put a clothing-filled stuffsack between my knees as a pillow...that helps a lot. Sometimes I put one under my waist and it takes away some of the pressure on my lower back.

I can lay on my right but I'm much more comfortable on my left side, about 45 degrees is perfect.

If you're 6', or close, I'd guess the Expedition is too small for you. I'm 6' and the difference for me between the Expeditions and the Explorers is like night and day in terms of comfort. The Explorer's increased length seems to allow me to get comfortable in many more positions, including right-side.

Play with where you put your feet. Moving your feet fore or aft, as you lay on your side, can substantially change the feel. Also play around with where your center of gravity is. Bottom line, get creative, it's not a bed.

Plus like Cannibal said, if the hammock is too small, laying on your side can be a problem.

When I sleep on my right side I do the "4" method Trooper mentioned or just sleep in the fetal position. Seems fairly comfy. Of course I'm a short guy (5'6")

Aggreed I have the larger one and found it very comfortable no matter what way I lay Ether side, front no problem, even the one night I set it up in the dark and made my head too high ended up sliding down near to entrance! Still comfy
