    CLOSED: possible good deal

the hammock store ( part of the Hayneedle group of stores)
    had this

    http://www.hammocks.com/accessories/...edownstrap.cfm

might be worth checking out for a bunch of tree huggers for smaller trees-
does not give a weight rating, but at 96% off can I really resist?

I'd be worried that itwouldn't support the weight or that it stretches. In that application it would probably be good to be stretchy. Its for keeping your hammock from twisting.

Ad says it is polyester... if so, then no stretch, very strong. I sell the same thing for $5 each.

Looks like a good deal to me!

If you check the picture, though, they aren't meant to hang from. just to keep a hammock from tipping.

I use 3' all the time, sometimes 2.5' and if it is 1" poly then no problem. I would resew the loops though. i just don't need any since I have plenty of webbing.

I can't convience the wife to let me get a thread injector and I can't sew by hand worth a d*** so they are not much use to me. However at that price I am sure pleanty of people will think of a use for them.

Sewing the loop closed that holds my Dutch Clips is a major sewing job for me.

Great tip. Just ordered 4 and if they are good quality should, if needed, tie in with my 2 HH 42" straps and cut down the hassle of searching for the right diameter trees.
