Hey MacEntyre, not sure what you mean. The stuts don't actually touch. Can you clarify? Are you indicating I should lash the middle (smallest area) where the poles come closest together?
Yes, that's it. When you make the poles lighter, they bend more. If you change the geometry slightly, you can make them cross against each other in the middle. Lash the bundle firmly at that point, and they will reinforce one another.
