    Hennessy replacement straps

Any recommendations on replacing the stock hennessy strings with straps? As a newb, I like the simplicity of the Warbonnet's optional straps. Perhaps whoopie slings later in the future... I want to keep it simple for now.

My recommendation; yes, you should replace the cord/huggers with a webbing based system. The webbing systems are just too easy and convenient.
    Trust nobody!

I've used the stock HH setup for years and years. Never thought there was an issue until I started looking around here. Now it's all up in the air as to what works best. A different suspension each time I go out lately. Dang progress!

    Straps and buckles for sale.

I have two 15' straps (Red poly. 1500 lb), 2 buckles (self centering climbing-type) and two carabiners (Treklight, 23g apiece) that I had planned on selling along with another hammock.

If you need them, I could leave them off the hammock when I offer it for sale, and sell them to you instead.

I've got around $40.00 in the setup. I could sell to you for $20.00 + $5.00 shipping.

I just recently replaced my stock HH suspension with AHE cinch buckles on the long chain link and use 10' straps with Dutch clips. Definately a quicker set up and also take down. No more long strings all over the place, getting in the way. I also went with the 2QZQ mod 3 and could not be happier!

Paul at AHE sells cinch buckles with a long chain of amsteel specifically made for replacing HH suspension (as pictured in this thread). Coupled with his polyester straps you have the exact same suspension as a Warbonnet, at least exactly the same as the ones I received recently. Older models and older pictures show different cinch buckles that required a slipped half hitch for back up. The current ones like the ones pictured do not require a hitch to back it up.
