Hanging from a car?

I've heard a few people mention hanging from cars - I've got a very small car (Ford Fiesta, W reg) - I can see that if I trapped one end in the car door that'd work, but what would you use from the other side other than a tree for field camping?

Great story behind that picture. They actually took turns sleeping in the hammocks as the other person was driving. I'm a pretty sound sleeper, but dang!

I believe that was a family friendly euphemism for an expletive we're all more familiar with.

I've considered tying to the roof rack on my Subaru Outback (not the crossbars, but the foot where it's attached to the care roof), though I'm not sure if I'd be overloading it and pull it right off the car (which would suck as I use the roof rack a LOT!)
